| Description |
Casa Galesa is a recently restored cottage that still maintains some of the original features, the garden remains rustic with cactus and newly planted olive trees, under the pergola a hammock swings gently, a place to relax unwind and chill out with a cold glass of sangria. The cottage is set in an area of natural beauty where Olive, Carob, Almond and Fig trees grow.
Casa Galesa is perfect for the countryside lovers who wish to take a walk through the unspoilt areas that are located nearby. We are lucky enough to see many species of birds in the area, the Hoopooe, Golden Oriole, Redrumped Swallow and the Bee-eater to name but a few. We have a resident fox who may during your stay grace us with his presence, or catch a glimpse of our Eagles as they glide through the sky.
Almogia is only 10 minutes away by car and has several places to eat, small shops, banks and a pharmacy. The village still maintains its Moorish character and is virtually unspoilt. The surrounding area is a haven for painters, photographers, walkers, bird watchers and those of you who aprecciate the natural beauty of the Andalucian countryside.
During the cooler months you will be able to enjoy the abundance of wild flowers that grow in the area, wild lavender scents the air while the wild orchids growing near the riverbed will amaze you with their colours.
Bedroom - The bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe, a/c, Radiator, safety deposit box, ceiling fan, all bedding is provided for your stay. We can provide you with a travel cot, bottle sterilizer and Buggy.
Bathroom - Fully tiled en-suite shower room. All towels are provided for your stay.
Kitchen - Open plan kitchen is fully equipped. All crockery, cutlery, hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, juicer, coffee maker, cooking utensils, tea towels. A washing machine is situated at the rear of the building.
Living Room - Is open plan with the kitchen, a comfortable double sofa bed is provided, TV, SKY, DVD, and a small table and 2 chairs. Halogen fires are provided for the coler months.
Linen - All towels and bedding are provided for the duration of your stay.
Welcome Pack - Is provided for stays of 1 week or more, You can choose from either an English or Spanish pack. A complimentary drink awaits you to enable you to get to know your hosts.
Outside - Table and chairs, BBQ and 1 bag of coals to get you started, loungers, hammock.
Notes on accommodation -
All guests have full use of our 8x4 pool that is situated a few minutes walk from Casa Galesa. We ask that you do not smoke inside, a sand box is provided to allow you to smoke outside.
Casa Galesa is not overlooked by the owners home it is totally private and secluded, parking is at the side of the cottage. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets as we have 3 dogs of our own. |

Travel - You will need a car to get to Casa Galesa. Once leaving the old Malaga road we access over a short track through a new avocado plantation. We can provide you with detailed directions and a map to Almogia from Malaga airport, alternatively we can meet you at the airport and show you the way here for a small cost of 20 euros to cover the cost of our fuel. Malaga airport is about 35 minutes from Almogia.
Payment - All bookings need to be secured with a 20% deposit, the balance to be paid 4 weeks before arrival. All payments to be made by bank transfer in Euros. Payment details provided once booking confirmed. Paypal also accepted.
Further Details - Almogia is an ideal location for those of you wanting to explore some of the Andalucian countryside. Why not visit The El Torcal Mountain range, The Old Moorish Town of Antequera, The Wolf Park, El Chorro Gorge and Man Made Lakes, The Pink Flamingo Lagoon, Cordoda, The Alhambra Palace in Granada, Almogia the sleepy spanish village, visit the lakes of Vinuela or Iznaja and last but not least Malaga City steeped in History.
There is something for everyone. Walking, hiking, horse - riding, Bird watching, why not paint a picture of the surrounding landscape or add some photos of the stunning scenery to your album or just simply chill out during your stay with us.
We also provide Guided Quad tours for guests of Casa Galesa Cottage, give it a go, let us take you to the top of the mountains around Almogia, take in the spectacular 360 degree views and breathtaking scenery, don't forget your camera. Prices sent by e.mail.
Casa Galesa is in a perfect location for visiting all the sights around Andalucia. If you want a day at the beach the costal resorts are only 45 mins drive away. |
