La Paz offers comfortable, rustic accommodation at a traditional hillside farmhouse set in 5 acres of private land amidst almond and olive trees, approx a one hour drive from Malaga. This tranquil retreat enjoys stunning mountain views from a south facing location, perfect for relaxing by the pool in one of the sunniest parts of Europe. Comares, a beautiful mountaintop white village can be reached via a track and winding road in around 15 minutes. Traditional village facilities include bar, shop and bank etc, accompany superb mountain views to the coast at Torre del Mar - approximately 45 minutes drive. Enjoy this charming accommodation in an unhurried corner of Andalucia.
Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with a double bed.
Bathrooms: En-suite bathroom to bedroom one. Fully tiled with shower, wash basin and wc.
Kitchen: Cottage style kitchenette with fridge, electric hob, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, juicer. Fully equipped.
Living Rooms: The studio has a round table and chairs with views East over the swimming pool. Sony CD/cassette/radio mini system. A cot is available on request.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service: All linen and towels are included (including pool towels). An extra set of both are provided for bookings of 2 weeks or longer. No maid service. Professionally cleaned between lets. |

Coast/Beach
The Mediteranian Coast is approx a 45 minute drive where your will find Torre Del Mar resort with a long, wide sandy beach. The promenade has numerous beach bars and restaurants and a good selection of family entertainment and nightlife.
Golf
18 hole Baviera Golf course is the nearest between Velez Malaga and Torre de Mar, approx a 50 minute drive. Membership is not required. Further details on request.
Skiing
Ski resort is located in the Sierra Nevada near the city of Granada which is approx a 90 minute drive from La Paz. Further details available on request.
Distances
Malaga city, historic and cultural including the Picasso museum, can be reached by car in 1 hour. Granada (and the Alhambra Palace) is approximately 90 minutes drive. Cordoba & Ronda are a similar distance and Seville is approx 2 hours.
Further details
Local activities might include walking, mountain biking and birdwatching, should you need a break from poolside relaxation. Comares village, an old Moorish settlement, is typically Andalucian with its narrow twisting streets and charming local style. Village shops will cater for basic everyday needs and several bars serve tapas and local wines, etc.
Los Ventorros is the nearest hamlet to the accommodation and can be reached in around 10 minutes by car on a winding track. Here you will find a bar and restaurant popular with locals and visitors alike. Next door you can buy freshly baked bread, fresh vegetables and handmade crafts.
Town facilities including a modern shopping centre, cinemas, street market and waterpark are located in Velez Malaga - some 40 minutes drive. Torre del Mar, a beach resort is 5 minutes further with many beach cafes, seafood restaurants, bars and a wide selection of entertainment. Golf, go-karting and watersports are nearby. |
