Peacefully situated along a country track, with few near neighbours, Casa Valentin is the perfect holiday hideaway. Nestling amongst it's own mature olive groves within a very pretty valley, this charming little house is surrounded by ancient olive and carob trees, together with lemon almond and fig.
Enjoying spectacular views over the surrounding olive clad hills and countryside, towards the stunning Sierra Tejada and Mount Maroma, Casa Valentin is an authentic 2 bedroomed finca set in approximately 2 acres of olive groves dotted with natural rock formations and an abundance of plants and trees. This pretty house has been sympathetically restored, retaining the original features of a time gone-by - including hand made floor tiles, eucalyptus ceiling beams and original fireplace - now providing a comfortable holiday home from which to enjoy the peace and quiet of it's unspoilt setting.
INSIDE: the internal Accommodation consists of an Andalucian style farmhouse kitchen/breakfast room with all mod cons including; microwave, gas hob, electric kettle, toaster, fridge, ample dishes and cutlery. (There is also a washing machine situated in an outside cupboard). The Sitting room has the original open fireplace, a (satellite) TV area with leather armchair and rustic sofa plus Dining table and chairs for four. We also have a plentiful supply of novels to help you unwind. Double doors lead from the sitting room onto a shaded South facing terracotta terrace, overlooking the PRIVATE POOL -again with lovely views.
Comfortably sleeping upto four people, the well appointed bedrooms consist of; One Double Bedroom with ENSUITE shower room, with a tiled walk in shower, wash basin and wc, and a further Twin Bedroom with single beds, complimented by a separate (4 piece) fully tiled bathroom comprising; bath with shower attachment, wash hand basin, wc and bidet. |

For your additional comfort, electric fans are provided in the bedrooms together with mosquito screening to most windows. We also provide a 'welcome' pack including bottled water, milk, tea bags, cheese, eggs, bread, marmalade, margarine, fruit juice, soft drink, loo rolls, wine and beer - So that you needn't rush to the shops as soon as you arrive!
Car Hire is essential and can normally be arranged upon request.
IN ORDER TO PREPARE FOR EACH NEW GUEST, PLEASE NOTE THE HOUSE WILL NOT NORMALLY BE AVAILABLE BEFORE 4PM, EQUALLY WE ASK OUR GUESTS TO VACATE BY 10AM ON THEIR LAST DAY
Casa Valentin is situated in the countryside between the white pueblos (white villages) of Colmenar (the capital of the mountains of Malaga with it's pine clad forests) and Comares (the ancient hilltop village reputed to be the last Moorish stronghold) Although enjoying a rural location, the cottage is not isolated and can be reached within a 45 minute uncomplicated drive from Malaga airport and the coast. Comprehensive directions will always be provided prior to your arrival, and we are normally 'on hand' in the area, should our guests require any assistance. *** PLEASE NOTE THE FINAL APPROACH TO THE HOUSE IS ALONG A 1.5KM (one mile) SINGLE DIRT TRACK ROAD. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE FURTHER IFORMATION REGARDING THIS TYPE OF ACCESS, PLEASE CHECK WITH US BEFORE BOOKING!
We would recommend 4x4 hire from around Mid October until March/mid April!
Both nearby villages are approximately a 15 minute drive away, and have several banks, mini markets, bakers, butchers, tapa bars and restaurants. There is also a 24 hour emergency medical centre and chemist in Colmenar. A Bus service to Malaga and taxis are available in both villages. In order to help you settle in, we have left an information file at the house - including how to get to the nearest local bar in el romo! |

The cottage itself is superb, you have decorated it so sympathetically and we felt at home there straight away.The boys loved the pool and they have both become champion swimmers !! You have a very, very special place there and it was spotlessly clean too. ………We've taken all sorts of different holidays over the years including many 5 star hotels and I have to tell you our holiday in your villa rates amongst the VERY best, not least because of the location.
